ABOUT MY WORK.
As an Artist my canvas and short films are a reflection of what I see and how I respond to my everyday inter-actions with nature and the human spirit. I believe that art gives a place to the human soul to capture com-passion on the canvas, so that it becomes a landmark for those of who will one day not be here. I am interested in profound subjects that affect our human condition.
My research includes the creation and facilitation of workshops, involvement with the community and participation in several social activities. I commit to change through education, photography, poetry, or art. As an artist, I feel a responsibility to share the life stories of others on my canvas and film.
I was born in Mexico City in 1965. Since the early 90’s I studied one-on-one with various artists from different parts of Mexico. I received some formal training at the Pacific-Northwest College for Art in Portland, OR, and at Bellas Artes and Instituto Allende in San Miguel de Allende, GTO. I also have a Masters in Fine Arts from Boise State University.
