Pain
This work honors the life of my mother, my aunt and all my close friends and family that died between 2005 and 2010.This work is about Pain. They all died because of a failing organ, and I find myself fixated on the specific moment and nature of their death. Initially, I attempted to represent my fixation with these deaths and the subsequent pain by exposing the organs pictorially. I realized, however, that this present and constant grief was more about a pain that has grown with the repetition of death after death during these years.
